General Update Photos -
Greetings Reggie,
Just wanted to throw you an update. Drove through the community the
other day and got a few photos to show you how it looks. It's looking
rough, but the main concern is the Culdesac that is getting closer to simply
collapsing. |

Jack or someone is doing a pretty fair job with entry upkeep (above), but
then it starts going downhill pretty fast. |

Don't know if you have Kudzu out where you live, but the stuff grows about
100 feet a year. If not stopped, it will totally and almost irreversibly
cover all of Whispering Creek within a year. Below is the Cul-de-Sac..... |

I put myself in the picture to give you some perspective of size. The
important thing to remember here, is that just a few feet back behind me, over
the edge of the lip, is a Sheer 30' Drop Off that encircles the entire
Cul-de-sac. That wall is closer to failure. This thing is now
losing just a ton of dirt with every hard rain - blowing it all out the seams
of the rear side of the wall. Reggie, if this thing is allowed to
collapse, then it is going to flood the Creek with Red Mud, and create an
environmental nightmare that Big Canoe will jump all over because it all feeds
into scenic Blackwell Creek. I think that at some point you need to
think about just putting up several lines of preventive silt fencing across
the "Valley" that feeds out just below the Cul-De-Sac. It's possibly a
cheap fix to avert collateral damage to what is going to eventually happen. |

Reggie, Hope you are doing well. I still think that a
"Sustainable Living, Upscale Garden & Fitness Nature Community" is the
way to go. If you could manage to owner finance the sales / building to
people, then you might do well seeing as how you'll probably be able to charge
20% Interest soon the way things are going. That's a semi-sarcastic
commentary on the state of affairs by the way.
Anyway, I just thought I would throw you an update. For the
record, what triggered the thought to drive through is that I got an email
from "Whispering Creek Log Homes" announcing new management, new release of
lines etc. I didn't follow up for the obvious reason that I have
no need to, but I did browse their collection, and I still think they really
look attractive at a good price point. If the two of you could ever come
together on a Finance Package for Buyers, that would really be something.
Peace - david
