266 Acre
Property with 45+/- Acres in 2 Lakes. Mix of Pasture, Woodland,
Commercial Hwy frontage, Side Road frontage & Private Homesite featuring a 3
Bed / 3 Bath Ranch on the Lake.
Following are some of the highlights & features of this property:
- There are actually 2 Lakes.
There's the Big Lake you see in the photos below, and is split by a causeway. It's approximately
41 acres. A long, finger-shaped, side feeder lake (you can see it in the Aerial Photos)
is about 4 - 5 acres. - Property has 100 feet of road frontage on
hwy 27, and about 1000 feet on Wheeler Rd & 3800 feet
frontage on Eds Lake Rd (counting both sides).
- There is a small
gravel road that runs all the way around the main lake, plus there are
several other roadways throughout the property.
- Approximately 80+/-
acres is in pasture / meadow.
- Property is surrounded by other large tract
acreage.
This would make a Perfect Sportsman's
Estate / Club.

- The property is loaded with Turkey & Deer.
-
The Lake is on the migration route for Duck & Geese, and the owner
has often hunted those. Fields are prime for Dove hunting.
-
On a recent trip, the owner and his friend caught over a half dozen Large
Mouth Bass that weighed 5 - 9 pounds each. There are huge Catfish in
the lake, easily over 25 pounds. The smaller lake has an abundance of
Bream. A few years back, Bob hired a Fish Biologist (Greg Grimes) to
test the lake. He documented a healthy population of 8 thriving fish
species. Greg commented that it a very healthy ecosystem, and THE
BEST Trophy Bass Lake he'd seen. Report Documentation available.
-
Subdivide Option
#1 - 119 Acre subdivide would be perfect for this. Owner would love to
see this happen - it is his preferred option.
Property is located just a few miles from the Square in Lafayette City in Walker County, just south of the
Tennessee line.
- 25
miles South of Chattanooga, 75 miles from Atlanta. Just East of the
Alabama line.
- Nearby attractions
include Tennessee Aquarium/ IMAX Theater/ Butterfly Gardens, Rock City,
Lookout Mountain, Ruby Falls, Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement & Water Park,
Cloudland Canyon, Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Area and much much more - all
within 30 minutes away.
This region is an activities paradise.
- This property's unique location makes
it an ideal setting for development or estate property(s).
Following are some links to County & Local info:
Usage Possibilities include: Horse Farm(s), Housing
Subdivision, Single or Multiple Residences, Livestock Ranch, Large Greenhouse
farms, Exotic Animal Farm, Large Estate Property(s), Summer Camp, etc...
Basically anything that can be imagined given the size and variety of areas on
the property. The Sportsman's Estate / Club is something the owner
would be very supportive of. Owner & his friends currently use the 3/3
Ranch House as a "Hunting & Fishing Lodge".

Below are 28 Photos.
This Main page highlights the Home and Main
Lake.
Document & Other Photo Links are at the very
bottom of page. |
|
Below I'm standing in the center of Eds Lake Rd, and directly
ahead is the existing home, and "peninsula compound" that juts out into the
lake. It's a spectacular part of the property. |
 |
|
We step in the gate, below, and photo the house, with lake
in background. In the next few pictures we walk down the little lane on
left, photo back towards house and around front lawn towards lake. |
|

|
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Above we're standing about halfway between the house and lake, looking back
to house.
Below we are on the porch of the house, looking out at the lakefront.
The entire lawn you see below is part of a peninsula that juts out into the
lake. See the aireal photos 4 a visual. |
 |
|
Below I'm just taking random photos from along the lake
front. This entire home compound area, and this whole side of the lake,
are included in both the 119 Acre & 40 Acre primary subdivide options. |

In the 2 photos above - the Dam would be ahead, slightly to the right.
Both the 119 Acre & 40 Acre subdivide
options would include everything on the right of the above 2 photos, with the
property split running down the center of the Lake, back towards the
photographer, and then continuing back to the far opposite end of the lake,
shown below. (see aerial
photo sections at bottom of page & the subdivide options page for a better
visual idea) |
 |
|
In the photo above - the Causeway that splits this main
lake is straight ahead in center, slightly left.
Both the 119 Acre & 40 Acre subdivide
options would include everything on the left of the above photo, with the
property split running down the center of the Lake - back towards the
photographer. (see aerial
photo sections at bottom of page & the subdivide options page for a better
visual idea)
In the picture below, almost straight ahead in center across the lake is a
small cove, that connects via a dam to the 2nd 4+ acre feeder lake (see
aerial photos for clear representation). |
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
|
Below I've walked out on the dock, turned around, and
photographed back the way I just came in the photos. Then in the next
one I walk back into the lawn a bit and photo back that direction again. |
 |
 |
|
Below I am photographing down the lake towards the dam that
divides the small 4 - 5 acre feeder lake, and then in the final 2 photos below
that I've photographed the small cove that runs back in from the left side of
the peninsula. |
