Two Exceptional Estate Lots located in The Preserve at Sharp Mountain, a thoughtfully planned private gated community located in the Foothills of the North Georgia Mountains.  Sharp Mountain captivates with its panoramic sunrise & sunset views, sparkling streams & waterfalls, eight nature parks, miles of walking trails and large, privately wooded mountain homesites.

Following are some of the highlights & features of these properties:
  • Lot 99 -
5.86 acres. Property has a precut 300' gravel driveway in place.  Building site is nestled in the woodland mid-slope of the property, with a good building site offering great views.  Rear of property continues down to a private creekland valley with large gently sloped area.
  • Lot 100 -
8.72 acres. Property has a precut 500' gravel driveway in place.  Building site is nestled in the woodland mid-slope of the property, with a very large semi-level building site offering good views.  Rear of property continues down to a private creekland valley with large gently sloped area.
  • Walking trails throughout the lower creek area on both lots.  These lots are 2 of only 3 lots in the community that own both sides of a year round flowing creek.
  • Both lots offer some of the most beautiful pristine woodland you will find in these mountains.  Mostly hardwoods, scattered pines for year round greenery, along with loads of Rhododendron & Mountain Laurel.
  • 2009 POA Fee per Lot = $495
  • 2008 Property Taxes:  Lot 99 = $573  //  Lot 100 = $615

Below is something the Owners emailed me as some general info as we started designing this Property Web Page.  I've included it verbatim, as it is very honest and descriptive....

Our Lots are in Phase Six of the development. There are a total of 324 lots in the development and they are all at least 3 acres in size. The gravel driveway on Lot 100 is 500' long and it stops where the land levels out. The driveway is fairly steep at the top but it will be easy to travel once it’s paved. The developer planned for the house site to be at the end of the driveway but we believe it's better suited even further down because the land spreads out quite a bit. A lovely long-range view to the east will open up once the thick trees and rhododendron are vista cut. There are hundreds of privately owned undeveloped acres to the south up a steep ridge.

Lot 99 complements Lot 100. The gravel driveway on Lot 99 is 300' long and, like on Lot 100, it stops where the land levels out. There is a pretty good view from the house site because a huge pine tree fell over and took out several other trees on the way down. Lot 99 is higher in elevation than Lot 100 and it has a wider view to the east.

Pristine Sharp Mountain Creek starts from a spring about 1,000' to the west of Lot 99's property line. There are countless springs that feed into it along the way so, as the creek flows, it gets better the further it goes.

Below are 29 Photos with More Text Descriptions.

We're starting the photo tour with some roadside photos, then we're going to take you down the Lot 99 gravel drive to homesite, then down Lot 100 gravel drive to that homesite, then some miscellaneous woodland photos, and finish up with a walk along the creekland valley :)   Immediately below we start with a view from the top of Lot 99 down towards Lot 100 drive, then we zoom in on the consecutive photos.

Above is the start of drive to Lot 100.  Below we show you what your view is going to look like every time you return home!!
Below is a zoom of the above photo, showing the views actually closer to what the naked eye sees when you are standing there.
Above we are standing at the entry to Lot 100, looking further down the road.  Below, we turn around and photo back up the road towards Lot 99 (on left).
Above we are looking straight into Lot 99 (drive is just to right). In the photo above you can make out the mountain ridge ahead, which is the view off the rear of the property.  That whole ridge in the distance is undeveloped private land owned by a single owner.  Where it meets up with the rear of this property, it starts sloping steeply up, and is probably unbuildable except for up top on the ridgeline, so it offers an almost permanent privacy buffer.  Below we start down the drive to Lot 99 homesite.  As mentioned earlier, it's about 300' to the homesite, and is a mixture of semi-steep & gently sloped S-curves heading down.
Above the drive dead ends at the homesite area.  Very large area, very gently sloped that is going to offer a perfect building site, and when opened up and vista pruned, will offer great long range views to the left (pictured below, but hard to make out from the haze - in real life you will see that they are indeed great views) as well as rear ridgeline views and a peaceful woodland setting, full of mountain laurels offering year round greenery.  Now I need you to use your imagination here for a second.  When you build your home here, you are going to take out absolutely all vegetation within the footprint of the home, plus you're going to clear almost everything stretching out a little from the home, and then there will be some clearing for septic fields, and finally you might do some thinning of trees on the outer periphery, maybe vista prune some select areas (vista prune = leave the tree but remove select lower branches to improve view).  So while I know you hear us saying View View View!  And all you are seeing is pictures of Woods Woods Woods!  But by the time you build a home - you're going to have a marvelous set of views nestled in a very private woodland setting, and again, when you visit the property in person you'll be able to see this very clearly - but the camera always focuses on the closest thing, and it is nearly impossible to get the views through the trees.  This same commentary will be valid for the Lot 100 homesite photos further down the page.
Above we look off to the right of the building site.... again, a wide relatively level area that is an extension of the homesite.  Below we walk into the woods from the end of the gravel drive (probably standing close to your future front door) and turn and photo back up the entry drive.
BELOW WE MOVE BACK TO LOT 100, AND BEGIN OUR TOUR DOWN THAT DRIVE.
Below are 3 photos of the general homesite area - huge level area that drops off around the edges, affording fantastic views.  Then we have a few general view photos.  As mentioned earlier - it's really hard to convey the views through the woods with these photos.  You simply have to be here.
Some Autumn colors above.
Below we have a series of photos from the trails along the creek, which is owned on both sides, and runs through the full rear width of both lots.  There's an old logging road that runs along part of the creek and offers a gentle walking path.
Above is a great photo, showing the trail along the creek in all of  its summer greenery & splendor!  Absolutely idyllic & peaceful woodland setting!
Well, this concludes our photographic tour of the actual lots.  The photos don't do the property nearly enough justice, and when you visit you'll agree.  The only other photo tour we have is below, with random photos from around our community -
The Preserve at Sharp Mountain (final photo in this section shows Sharp Mountain from a long distance view).
I'm assuming that from the name you'll be able to guess which is Sharp Mountain, the centerpiece of our community, and upon which our property sits upon the side slopes of.....
