AMENITIES - Playfield & Children's
Playground
Until the recent addition of the Wildcat Recreation
Center, this area was the primary center of outdoor athletic endeavors in Big Canoe.
An enormous grassy area is encircled by a 1/4 mile gravel walking / jogging
trail. It is also home to one of the most exciting new Big Canoe
Amenities - the Children's Playground! If you have Young Children - or
if you are a Grandparent with Grandchildren - well, you'll get here sooner or
later! As for the Playfield - it is central to Big Canoe, sitting in a
hollow below the Lake Petit Dam, and is host to the annual Oktoberfest
Festival. Lots of open grassy running room, picnic tables, outdoor
grills, and of course the kid's playground - make this a popular spot for
large & small outdoor family gatherings.
