To the right the loft opens into a very spacious loft bedroom (could be used
for office/den/play area), with large bright high level windows. The
actual loft living area is very private and set back from lower, open main
level.

Steps lead up from the
parking area to a large deck/landing entry. There is a huge central
concrete column that surrounds a 16' x 16' "basement", which is also
the support column for the upper levels. Most of the Main level is
built out on support eaves giving huge covered areas below. Owner
currently has hanging swings facing the lake in this area. Area
could be expanded out and enclosed - or overhang areas would make great
covered patio spots. Very nice woodland landscaping. Even
though the Lake Watch Villas are fairly closely clustered - there are
plenty of old-growth trees (evergreen & hardwood), rhododendron, laurel,

This property is part of the Lake Watch Villa community.
From the central parking area a paved trail leads shortly down to an
arched bridge, which leads to a private beach, and picnic areas,
adjacent to the POA offices, and then to small private island that juts
into the center of the lake. From the parking area it is also a
short walk to the greenspace area that adjoins Lake Sconti. The
right of the Villa Complex opens to the 18th hole golf fairway, and is
within short walking distance to the Sconti restaurant and clubhouse.
Easy walk to the Swim Club, Fitness Center, Chapel, Post Office, IGA
Express Convenience Store, Chimneys Conference Center, POA Offices, and
Piazza Restaurant (located in Wolfscratch Village). It is of
important note that the Lake Watch Villas are easily the most highly
sought after RENTAL Properties in Big Canoe due to their central location
and large layouts (much fancier and larger than the condos, and much
more central than the Golf Villas - not to disparage either of those great
locations, each of which has it's own great features). My last comment regards
fishing - The largest and primary central lake in Big Canoe is Lake Petit,
and it is stocked annually with enormous trout. But everyone goes
there - so it's semi-fished out. A little known Big Canoe fact is
that Lake Sconti is also stocked, but due to bordering golf course restrictions is
little fished. From the Lake Watch commons lake-bordering green space, and private connecting
island, there is perhaps THE BEST fishing in Big Canoe. |
