80 Big Canoe Photos:  A Quick Collage -
Below are just random photos from around the Community.

Above is the Sconti Lake, with views of the Golf Course.
Across the Lake is the Communities new Clubhouse, pictured below in a few photos.
Below is a nice Aerial Photo overlooking Petit Lake towards the South.  Below that we have a series of Photos from around Lake Petit, including the Primary Marina which houses Pontoons, John Boats & Canoes.

Lake Petit is a Great Place to Fish, Boat, or just feed the Ducks & Geese.  Phenomenal Views available from around the Lake really make one appreciate the Mountain Setting of Big Canoe.

Below is the Dam across Lake Petit, with the Lower Ball Field & Children's Play Ground area below the dam.
Above is the Ballfield area as seen from eye level.  This area serves as the community outdoor gathering area for special events, such as 4th of July Fireworks & Octoberfest. Below is a view of the Children's Playground - a secure and shady spot to take the Kids & Grandkids!  Because so many Big Canoer's Homeschool, you'll find regularly scheduled get togethers with moms and kids.
Below is the Outdoor Swim Complex at Lake Disharoon.  It is Fabulous!  Includes Rockslide, Paddleboats & Canoes, Sandy Beach w/ Volleyball, Picnic Areas & Grills, Concession Stand, Bathrooms & Showers, and it is at the Entrance to the Nature Valley Hiking Trails.

But Wait!  Below we've got the Entire Separate Wildcat Swimclub, Soccer, Basketball & Baseball Fields as well!
Below is the Pavillion (seen in distance above), and a mix of photos from around the Wildcat Outdoor Recreation Complex. This area has historically been used for Community Picnics and Parties such as The Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Halloween's "Trunk Or Treat" (which is Awesome, Safe & Fun!!  More details below)

Soccer is HUGE in Big Canoe!  Great Gathering for Parents & Kids.
Below are some of the tamer scenes from last year's Easter Hunt & Celebrations.  They always have a Petting Zoo, and it is Packed!!!  They have a variety of Easter Egg Hunts for Age Groups, Games on the Basketball Courts, Sack Races & Cookout Food at the Pavillion.
Talking about Trunk or Treat is a must!  Everyone dresses up their cars in the Wildcat parking Lot. There's Hay Rides, Food, Games, a Haunted Trail.  The Adults basically set out Candy & Spooky Tricks - but also enjoy their own "Block Party!"  I'm not quite sure who enjoys this more - the Children, or the "Big Kids at Heart!"  LOL
BIG CANOE IS A COMMUNITY & IT IS A SAFE COMMUNITY!  IT IS ALL THE BEST THINGS YOU REMEMBER FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD, AND IT IS WHAT YOU DREAM OF!!!  IT IS HOW YOU WANT TO RAISE YOUR CHILDREN, AND IT IS A PLACE YOU WANT TO BRING YOUR GRANDKIDS!!!
Below are some scenes from the Golf, Tennis & Fitness Centers.......

Above and Below are Fitness Center Photos:  Beautiful Entry & Juice Bar: Newspapers & WiFi available.

Heated Indoor Saline Pool with Hot Tub.  Water Aerobics for Adults & Swim Lessons / Team for Kids.

Very Nice Locker Rooms.  Adjacent Massage & Spa Rooms.  We also have Physical Therapists & Personal Trainers Onsite.

Indoor Tennis & Squash Courts + Huge Aerobics Room.  Weekly Classes include Free Yoga, which is hugely popular.  Wide Variety of Classes.  I believe they even have Tai Chi.

The above photos don't even begin to show all the machines, bikes, treadmills, free weights etc....  The Big Canoe Fitness Center rivals ANY Gym in the quality and variety of equipment.
Below are a couple of quick photos showing some other Lake sections of Big Canoe:  Frog Pond & Toad Pond.
And below is McDaniels Meadows: a Huge Nature Trail Center with Dog Park.

Big Canoe is such a large community that it is the primary support for a couple of new Shopping Centers.  The Foothills Shopping Center is the main Shopping Complex for the area, and is anchored by the IGA Supermarket.  Jasper Drugs, Movie Rentals, Bakery & Deli, Restaurants, Coffee Shop, Specialty & Retail Shops, Banks, Computer Store, Dollar General, Convenience/Gas Stations, Spa & Nail Center, and the Ace Hardware are just some of the businesses operating in this area.  And all very well run.  The IGA is LITERALLY an AWARD WINNING Grocery - run by two of Big Canoe's Own!
And below is the North Gate Station - directly across the intersection from the North Gate of Big Canoe.  Restaurants, Small Businesses & Offices, Spa & Hair Cuttery, even a Bakery.  Just a few hundred feet from this complex is the Appalachia Grill - a wonderful restaurant.  It is Magnificent Architecture, which is what you can expect from all economic development in this area.

OK!!!  I think it's time to stop!  I can't load any more pictures or this page won't open!!!  But I've missed a lot.  I haven't begun to show you this Community of Big Canoe.  I know - because I moved here in 1999.  There is so much more to this community, but I hope I have given you a taste of what it is about.
It's a great place to Live, Love, Vacation, Raise a Family or Simply Rest From the Journey & Retire!

May God Fill Your Day with Joy & Bless Your Sleep with Quiet Dreams
