Above, as we come down Black Gum towards the cul-de-sac
ending, the lot is on the right. The little red dots mark the
approximate road front boundaries. Below we zoom in a bit. |
Below we are standing almost dead center at curbside
looking straight out. |
Below we step into the lot a bit and tilt a bit to the
right to show that view. Cox Mountain in distance on left side of photo. |
Below we've stepped into to about where the front of the
home would be, and angle a photo down to the left. The above and below
photos really "Shrink" the view in the picture. In real life this is a
beautiful panorama view. That's McElroy Mountain in center distance. |
Below I have walked down to the rear corner of the
lot, and am photographing back up towards the opposite front corner,
diagonally across the lot. This is a very bright and open lot. If
it is possible to call a lot "Cheerful" then this would be one that matches
the description. |
Below I have walked down to close to the far lot line and
am photographing directly across the lot. Actual lot is still a good bit
behind me in the photo though. Nice broad lot with plenty of room.
Building site is probably going to be somewhere ahead in photo below. |
Below I angle towards the road to tie that into the site.
This really is one of the best lots in Big Canoe. It's bright, open and
airy, has a driveway access and a gently sloped lot that is going to lay just
perfectly to take advantage of year round views. The lay of this lot is going
to dramatically keep building costs down too. |
And it's not just the Lot - it's the whole street which is
appealing. During the winter you feel so protected, totally ringed
inside scenic mountains on ALL sides. Below lets jump back curbside and
take a look at the various views. Below is the very nice home across the road.
In real life the mountain range behind the house is very visible, and you'll
definitely feel the presence of those mountains from your front home view. |
Below, towards the cul-de-sac end you also have great
mountain views. Gently downward sloped road would make a great evening stroll. |
Looking back up the road, below, you feel the solid
presence of Toland Mountain. In the photo below that's the lot on the
left. |
SUMMARY: This is a Very Good, I dare say Exceptional Lot, that
offers just about everything. It's nestled deep in the inner mountains
of Big Canoe, but still conveniently close to central amenities, and an easy
drive out the main gate. It has beautiful, cheerful Spring Summer & Fall views
- and in the Winter it opens up to almost 360 degree views. It has the
perfect building site. I cannot imagine a better building site in Big
Canoe that is going to reduce building costs more than this one - and
foundational / driveway costs are a big factor in many mountain building lots.
Look at the locator map, and feel free to drive by and walk around, see for
yourself.
